Introduction  

This Admin Guide provides instructions for CRM administrators to install, configure, and manage the Hover Integration for Zoho CRM.

1. Prerequisites  

Before installing the extension, ensure that:

  • You have Administrator privileges in Zoho CRM.
  • You have an active Hover account with access to jobs and users.
  • You know your Zoho CRM Marketplace login credentials.

2. Installation Steps  

  • Go to Zoho Marketplace.
  • Search for Hover Integration for Zoho CRM.
  • Click Install.
  • Select the CRM Organization where you want to install.
  • Grant the required permissions and confirm installation.

3. Post-Installation Setup  

After installation:

Two new modules are automatically created in CRM:

  • Hover Users
  • Hover Jobs

These modules will automatically fetch and sync data from your Hover account.

4. Permissions & Access Control  

As an admin, you can control access to Hover modules:

  • Navigate to Setup > Security Control > Profiles.
  • Select the user profile you want to update.
  • Grant or restrict access to the Hover Users and Hover Jobs modules.

Assign button access for the Hover Portal within Deals if required.

5. Configuring Hover Portal in Deals  

The Hover Portal button is automatically added to Deal records after installation.

  • Ensure the Hover Jobs module is active and visible in the CRM settings.
  • Only users with module access can view and use the Hover Portal.

6. Data Sync & Automation  

  • Initial Sync: Upon installation, all existing jobs and users from Hover are fetched.
  • Ongoing Sync: Jobs, users, and attachments update automatically whenever changes are made in Hover.
  • Email Notifications: Job assignees automatically receive email notifications when new jobs are created.

7. Monitoring & Troubleshooting  

Common Checks  

  • If modules are missing: Go to Setup > Modules and Fields and ensure Hover Users and Hover Jobs are enabled.
  • If jobs or users don’t sync: Check your Hover API credentials or internet connectivity.
  • If attachments don’t appear: Confirm the job is marked complete in Hover and the CRM user has access to Deal attachments.

Logs & Support  

  • CRM admins can view sync logs under Extensions > Installed Extensions > Hover Integration > Logs (if enabled).
  • For unresolved issues, contact [Your Support Email].

8. Uninstallation  

If you need to remove the extension:

  • Go to Setup > Marketplace > All Extensions > Installed Extensions.
  • Locate Hover Integration for Zoho CRM.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • (Optional) Choose whether to retain or remove synced data.

9. Best Practices for Admins  

✅ Restrict module access to relevant users only.

✅ Regularly monitor sync status.

✅ Train CRM users on how to create Hover Jobs from Deals.

✅ Ensure assignees check their email notifications promptly.
