Zoho vs HubSpot vs Salesforce AI Agents 2026

Agentforce, Breeze and Zia Agents compared on building, data access, MCP, governance and published pricing, with a decision guide by team size and stack

•Insyrge

Which CRM's AI agents actually do the work? After Dreamforce 2026 and HubSpot's Fall Spotlight, here is how Agentforce, Breeze and Zia Agents compare, what they cost, and how to choose for your team.

Which CRM has the best AI agents in 2026? It depends on the CRM you already run, because each vendor's agents work best on its own data. Salesforce Agentforce has the deepest platform for big teams with complex processes. HubSpot Breeze is the quickest to switch on and charges by outcome for its main agents. Zoho Zia Agents is the cheapest to try, because Zoho does not charge for the agents themselves. All three now support MCP (Model Context Protocol), so you can also connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to your CRM data.

A lot changed in September and October 2026. Salesforce made Agentforce Coworker generally available at Dreamforce and is rolling out Agent Optimizer in October. HubSpot's Fall 2026 Spotlight put a new Breeze Assistant in charge of its agents and widened its MCP server to read and write far more of the CRM. Zoho kept its agents free and its MCP service at $0. This guide compares the three on six points, using only facts the vendors publish, and ends with a decision guide by team size and stack.

Quick answer
Salesforce Agentforce: best for larger teams already on Salesforce with an admin or partner. Pay per action ($0.10 per standard action through Flex Credits) or choose another published model. HubSpot Breeze: best for small and mid-sized teams on HubSpot Professional or Enterprise. Customer Agent costs $0.50 per resolved conversation, and Prospecting Agent costs $1 per lead recommended. Zoho Zia Agents: best for cost-conscious teams on Zoho. Building and running agents is free; you pay only for model usage beyond the free token allowance. Rule of thumb: choose your CRM first and use its agents. Do not switch CRMs just to get a vendor's AI.

What changed in CRM AI agents in September and October 2026?

  • Salesforce (Dreamforce, 15 to 17 September; recap published 28 September): Agentforce Coworker is generally available. Salesforce calls it an autonomous AI teammate inside Salesforce that answers questions across CRM, Slack and connected sources, then plans and carries out work, calling other agents along the way. Agent Optimizer, an agent that builds and tunes your other agents, was announced for general availability in October. AI Skills (reusable, governed instructions any agent can run) moved from pilot to a planned October release. Salesforce also announced Claudeforce (Salesforce inside Claude, in beta) and Slackforce (Salesforce inside Slack, generally available in October).
  • HubSpot (Fall 2026 Spotlight, mid-September): a new Breeze Assistant takes a request, assigns the right agents and delivers the output, all grounded in CRM data. HubSpot also launched new content and campaign agents, an updated Prospecting Agent that watches more than 40 buying signals, and a self-updating Smart CRM. The HubSpot MCP server can now read and write custom objects and leads, create landing pages and campaigns, and manage properties and pipelines.
  • Zoho: no single launch event, but the setup is steady. Zia Agent Studio is free, Zoho-hosted models come with free monthly tokens, and Zoho MCP has no separate fee. Zoho also offers pre-built, Zoho-hosted MCP servers for Zoho CRM.

How do Zoho, HubSpot and Salesforce AI agents compare?

Here is each platform on the six points that decide whether its agents do real work: building, data access, openness, governance, pricing and fit.

Salesforce Agentforce

  • Building agents: Agentforce Builder. With Agent Optimizer you describe the agent in plain language, and it creates subagents and placeholder actions and tests them as it goes.
  • Data access: Coworker runs on Data 360 and draws on opportunities, forecasts, accounts, cases, contracts and other connected sources. Agents can call Flows, Apex, other agents and third-party APIs.
  • MCP and openness: Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers have been generally available since 29 April 2026 for Enterprise Edition and above. Salesforce says they are intended for customers with Flex Credits and that server usage may be billed. Agentforce can also call outside MCP servers, but only over Streamable HTTP with OAuth client-credentials authentication, and it does not support per-user authentication.
  • Governance: hosted MCP runs as the signed-in user and respects field-level security and sharing rules. Production tools include Agent Health Monitoring, observability, and beta testing and A/B experiments.
  • Published pricing: Flex Credits cost $500 per 100,000 credits. A standard or custom action uses 20 credits ($0.10), and a voice action uses 30. Salesforce also lists $2 per conversation, a $5 per user per month Agentforce user licence, and $125 per user per month flat-fee access. Enterprise Edition and above can get 100,000 free Flex Credits with Salesforce Foundations.

HubSpot Breeze

  • Building agents: prebuilt Breeze agents (Customer, Prospecting, content, campaign and others) are coordinated by Breeze Assistant. You build custom agents in Agent Builder.
  • Data access: agents run on HubSpot's Smart CRM. HubSpot describes it as self-updating, capturing calls, emails and meetings automatically.
  • MCP and openness: the HubSpot MCP server and Claude connector can read and write custom objects, leads and other objects. They can also create landing pages, campaigns, marketing email drafts and quotes (quotes in public beta), and configure properties and pipelines. App developers can add an mcp-server component so their tools appear inside HubSpot Agents.
  • Governance: MCP writes are recorded in the Audit Log and respect the acting user's permissions. You can set credit limits at account, feature and activity level.
  • Published pricing: HubSpot Credits cost $0.010 each, or $10 per 1,000-credit capacity pack. Professional plans include 3,000 credits a month and Enterprise plans 5,000. Customer Agent costs 50 credits ($0.50) per resolved conversation. Prospecting Agent costs 100 credits ($1) per lead recommended for outreach. Both agents require Professional or Enterprise and come with a 28-day free trial.

Zoho Zia Agents

  • Building agents: Zia Agent Studio. You can build from scratch, setting the model, role, instructions, knowledge base, tools and guardrails, or describe the agent and let Zia draft the setup. Prebuilt agents are available in the Zia Agent Store.
  • Data access: agents work across Zoho apps such as Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk, plus connected third-party apps, within the API limits of your subscription.
  • MCP and openness: Zoho offers four pre-built, Zoho-hosted Zoho CRM MCP servers (Data Insights, Data Operations, Module Customization, and Workflow and Process Automation). Zoho MCP at mcp.zoho.com lets you build your own server. You can run agents on Zoho-hosted models or bring your own key for OpenAI, Gemini or Claude.
  • Governance: guardrails are configured per agent. MCP actions are limited to the permissions of the Zoho user who signed in.
  • Published pricing: Zia Agents are free to build, deploy and manage. Standard-tier Zoho-hosted models include 30 million free tokens a month. If you bring your own key, you pay the model vendor's rates. Zoho MCP is listed at $0 and uses your existing Zoho API credits.

Is Agentforce worth it?

Agentforce is worth it if Salesforce is already your system of record, you have repetitive work at volume, and someone (an internal admin or a partner) owns building and maintaining the agents. Its strengths are depth: Data 360 context, Flows and Apex as actions, and the most complete testing and monitoring tools of the three.

It is harder to justify if you want value next week with no setup, or if you need a fixed, predictable monthly bill. Usage-based Flex Credits, Data 360 consumption and the add-on licences all need forecasting. Salesforce users on Reddit say the same thing: wins come from narrow, high-volume tasks with clear rules and a human reviewing the output, not from switching on full autonomy.

Are HubSpot Breeze agents any good?

For teams already on HubSpot Professional or Enterprise, Breeze is the easiest of the three to start with. Its two main agents are billed by outcome: you pay when a conversation is resolved or a lead is recommended, not each time the agent replies. HubSpot defines a resolution as a conversation that the agent handled and that was not handed to a person within 72 hours.

The trade-off is reach. Breeze agents do their best work inside HubSpot. If key processes live in other systems, plan for integrations, or use the new MCP server component to bring outside tools into HubSpot Agents.

Is Zoho Zia as good as Agentforce or Breeze?

Zia Agents cost the least to try and give you the most choice of model, because the agents are free and you can bring your own model key. They suit teams running sales, support and finance on Zoho. Compared with Agentforce, Zoho publishes fewer production monitoring tools, so plan your own testing and review steps before agents write to live records.

Can I just use ChatGPT or Claude with my CRM instead?

Yes, and many teams now do both. All three vendors offer hosted MCP servers, so an outside assistant can read and update CRM records with the signed-in user's permissions. Use MCP when people want to work in their own AI tool. Use the CRM's native agents when work must run on its own, such as answering customers, routing leads or running on a schedule. Costs differ: Zoho MCP is $0 plus API credits, while Salesforce says hosted MCP usage may be billed against Flex Credits.

How to choose: a decision guide by team size and stack

Most comparison articles stop at the feature list. This is the decision path we use with clients.

Step 1: Start from the CRM you have

  • On Salesforce: start with Agentforce. Use Salesforce Foundations' free Flex Credits (Enterprise Edition and above) to test one action-heavy workflow.
  • On HubSpot Professional or Enterprise: start with Customer Agent or Prospecting Agent on the 28-day trial, then try Agent Builder.
  • On HubSpot Starter: check plan requirements first. Customer Agent and Prospecting Agent require Professional or Enterprise.
  • On Zoho: start with a prebuilt agent from the Zia Agent Store, or a read-only MCP connection, on free Zoho-hosted tokens.

Step 2: Match it to your team size

  • Small teams (no dedicated admin): pick prebuilt agents with simple published pricing, such as Breeze outcome pricing or Zia's free tier. Avoid anything that needs custom actions to be useful.
  • Mid-sized teams (one admin or a partner): add one custom agent for a single process, with a clear success measure and a monthly credit cap.
  • Large teams (several departments and systems): governance and monitoring matter more than features. This is where Agentforce Observability, Agent Optimizer and per-user hosted MCP pay off.

Step 3: Check your stack outside the CRM

  • If key data sits in other systems, check how each platform reaches it: Data 360 and MuleSoft for Salesforce, HubSpot app MCP components for HubSpot, and Zoho apps, Zoho MCP and third-party tools for Zoho.
  • If your team already lives in Claude or ChatGPT, budget for MCP access as well as native agents.

Step 4: Price one real workflow, not the brochure

Count how often the task happens each month and how many steps it takes, then apply the published rates: $0.10 per Agentforce action, $0.50 per resolved Breeze conversation, or token use on Zia. For more on testing before you buy, read how to evaluate AI agents.

What mistakes do teams make with CRM AI agents?

  1. Switching CRMs for the AI. The agents are only as good as the data under them, and moving that data costs far more than any agent saves.
  2. Skipping data clean-up. Duplicate contacts and empty fields lead to confident but wrong agent actions.
  3. Giving write access on day one. Start read-only or require approval, with a least-privilege user.
  4. Not capping spend. Credits are consumed per action or outcome. Set limits (HubSpot supports them at several levels) and watch usage weekly.
  5. Automating a fuzzy process. If people cannot explain the rules clearly, an agent will not follow them reliably.
  6. Taking beta for GA. Several announcements, such as Claudeforce and HubSpot quote tools through MCP, are still in beta. Check status before you plan around them.
  7. No owner after launch. Agents drift as your processes change. Someone needs to review failures monthly.

Frequently asked questions

Which CRM has the best AI agents?

There is no single winner. Agentforce has the most depth for complex Salesforce setups, Breeze is the easiest to adopt for HubSpot teams, and Zia Agents cost the least to try on Zoho. The best agents are usually the ones that run on the CRM you already have.

How much do CRM AI agents cost in 2026?

Salesforce lists $0.10 per standard Agentforce action through Flex Credits ($500 per 100,000), plus other models. HubSpot charges $0.50 per resolved Customer Agent conversation and $1 per Prospecting Agent lead. Zoho Zia Agents are free, and you pay only for model usage beyond the free tokens.

What is Agentforce Coworker?

An autonomous AI teammate built into Salesforce, generally available since Dreamforce 2026. It answers questions across CRM, Slack and connected sources, then plans and carries out tasks, calling other agents as needed.

What is Breeze Assistant?

HubSpot's assistant, relaunched at Fall 2026 Spotlight. You describe what you need, and it assigns HubSpot agents to deliver it, using your CRM data.

Do Zoho, HubSpot and Salesforce support MCP?

Yes. Zoho offers Zoho-hosted CRM MCP servers and Zoho MCP, HubSpot has the HubSpot MCP server and Claude connector, and Salesforce Hosted MCP Servers are generally available for Enterprise Edition and above.

Should I switch CRM to get better AI agents?

Usually not. Moving data and processes costs more than the agent difference. Clean your data and start with your current CRM's agents or an MCP connection.
